Where we are…
1st October 2019

27th March 2019

Split Velocity Solutions Ltd is able to acknowledge that we are presently in communication with the central bank. We will proceed to the next stage requested and remain guided by the advice of the Bank of Zambia.
Business Model
Our business model shows that with the right support a wealth creation pilot and nation-wide roll out in any country is actually quite easy to implement and can be done within a year. Since we already have an implementation strategy and are currently ready to deploy it, implementation is currently the least of our worries because we know the concept is state-of-the-art and therefore still being digested.
The caveat of course is that implementation is dependent on a willing central bank, it cannot be done without this support. Therefore, our current focus is non-financial. We have shifted our focus to outreach as a priority.
Central bank support is an imperative
A central bank is required as an imperative to get proof of concept through a pilot. On success of the pilot the second stage is to then implement a fully fledged service. Our split-velocity product simply cannot be piloted or implemented without the permission, participation and cooperation of a central bank. Our intention was to first engage a central bank as the first port of call to get approval for a pilot. Once this is gained our next step was to engage a ministry of finance as a key stakeholder. In Zambia our attempt to do this has stalled with communication at the central bank stage, therefore we cannot move any further until this is resolved.
We realize the concept of wealth creation is however new and the innovation must be given ample time to be fully understood. So, this is not of real concern. Outreach is just as important a goal as the more people understand split velocity the more willing they will be to embrace it.
Our current focus
Our focus at present in Zambia is the in house development of an outreach strategy and programme that will allow us to disseminate more information about wealth creation and more about how it works to stake-holders in education, business, finance and any other industry.
We are currently in Talks with Butali House whom we met with recently to work on the release of a new edition of Siize Punabantu’s book, The Greater Poverty & Wealth of Nations. This new edition will do its best to dumb down and further simplify the concepts in wealth creation to make them much easier to understand.
During this meeting our inspiration was Dambiso Moyo’s book Dead Aid. The idea hashed during the meeting was to produce a book using the same content in Siize Punabantu’s ground breaking book but would see the book reduced from currently over 600 pages in the new page size to just 250 pages in a new proposed smaller paperback format, elegantly rehashed and easy to understand so as to reach a wider audience. This will be key to our outreach as it will disseminate wealth creation to a much wider audience. We are also developing an in-house strategy for engaging learning institutions and other platforms this year.
More on our business model
The business model we propose is one where Split Velocity Ltd does not initially handle any finances directly leaving this end of the service to licencees, but acts more as a management support facility. However, Split Velocity is a technology that is under copyright and no private or public financial institution or institution of any kind in any country may apply our proprietary concept and technology in part or whole, in any shape or form – this is strictly prohibited.
Our role at present is mostly non-financial and envisaged as service and management support for the use of our product/concept/technology by banks, non-banks and other financial services institutions . Consequently, our role currently in our new office space is envisaged as being focused on outreach. We want to position ourselves to be able to one day provide the licencing for the split-velocity system and the management or oversight of its use by clients applying it in their institutions with the objective of increasing efficiency through which gains in economic growth are obtained and poverty eradicated comprehensively. This will remain our policy until further notice as we try to enhance buy in from stake holders and the public.
Looking for partners
Wealth creation cannot be implemented without the support of a central bank.
The implementation of a pilot, in any country, would preferably require quantitative easing. Why? In Zambia this would require using the Kwacha itself and if this is not possible the alternative would be the creation and use of a virtual currency. Both of these avenues in Zambia are not possible without the support and approval of the central bank. However, the recent innovation of virtual currencies does not appear to have much support in Zambia. However, we are hopeful this may change in future as is the case with the onward march of technology.
We will, however, continue to look for central banks in the region or elsewhere seeking the benefits of accelerated growth and willing to support a pilot, as this is key to our business model and we will always remain hopeful of being able to one day implement a wealth creation pilot in Zambia.
Our approach is very simple, while we are open to debating contemporary economic theory our policy is very simple: run the pilot and let the outcomes speak for themselves. We’ve been debating theory for more than 200 years yet businesses are still struggling, poverty is still a stark reality especially in developing countries and scarcity is till the order of the day. We want less talk, more action from technocrats.
We have confidence in our concept/technology and are therefore in no hurry, at the right time the right opportunity will present itself.
And we will continue to keep you updated on our progress, exactly what we are doing and where we are in an open, free and transparent fashion as we have done from the onset.

Welcome to wealth creation!
